LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Next Cohort: Summer 2021 | Application Deadline: TBD

Founded in 2015, Atlanta GLOW’s Summer Leadership Program is a camp experience for young women and girls like no other. It takes our organization’s and programs’ leadership development focus further by teaching the key social emotional skills that lie at the heart of women’s wellness, leadership, advocacy and influence. Our program is for young women and girls from across the metro Atlanta area who want to learn more about themselves while building their competency around concepts such as civic responsibility, diversity and social justice.

Our classrooms operate two to three days a week for 90 minutes per day throughout the Summer. Program instruction includes interactive lessons with the entire class as well as smaller mentor-led group activities while promoting sisterhood, community and an interest in social impact. Participants have the ability to collaborate with classmates within breakout sessions and participate in classroom-based activities and projects. By the end of the program, participants are charged with creating a project, whether through art, literature or technology, teaching their peers about a cause that matters to them.
