Atlanta GLOW provides mentorship, leadership development, and life skills training opportunities to underserved women and girls, ages 14-25, to ignite their potential to lead and thrive.
Founded in 2014, Atlanta Growing Leadership Of Women's mission is to encourage, educate and equip young, low-income women to be thriving, self-sustaining leaders and effective agents of economic growth within their communities.
We are a faith-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves low-income young women and/or young women of color, ages 14-25, by providing mentoring, leadership development and life skills training to ignite each young woman’s potential and equip her with the tools to take action and thrive in her home, school, workplace and community.
We expose young women to amazing leaders and engage them in youth-led civic engagement opportunities to help them make a difference in their communities.
We help young women learn all the basics of finance—including how to make money, budget and save—and empower them to take control of their financial future.
In our efforts to promote flourishing communities, we help young women blossom into future leaders. However, as a volunteer-based organization, we at Atlanta GLOW cannot provide excellence in that quest without a strong community of volunteers, volunteers who carry a passion and dedication to our mission.
We advocate for young women and provide limited assistance with food, school, period and/or hygiene supplies to help fight food insecurity, period poverty and learning loss in underserved communities while promoting the health, safety and wellness of young women and their families.
1 in 3 young people feel less confident because they have missed school due to not having sufficient access to period products. Therefore, we partner with schools, communities and nonprofit organizations to distribute and provide menstrual and hygiene products to the women and girls who need them most.
