Did you know Atlanta GLOW is a Teen Science Cafe (TSC) program provider? TSCs are free out of school time programs where teens and STEM experts collaborate on presentations and hands-on activities which explore science topics in-depth. Cafés are as unique as the communities they serve, and are led by teens for teens with sponsorship of an adult leader. Cafés are easy to participate in and no prior experience with STEM is needed!

Program Eligibility

 

Participants must be metro-Atlanta based teens enrolled in grades 9-12 during the present school year. Please visit our Program Eligibility page for the additional criteria required for participation in Atlanta GLOW's programs.

Program Dates

 

Our program meets a various points throughout the school year. TSC teen leaders themselves (with sponsorship of an adult leader) help plan and facilitate Science Cafés presented for teen audiences.

Program Location and Format

 

Program session are hosted in a hybrid format with sessions held both virtually via Zoom and in person at our Mentoring Cafe in Marietta. 

​

 

Transportation assistance and refreshments are provided for in-person sessions.

Participants may join at any point in the semester.
